Linen has always been regarded as the premium bedding choice. It’s qualities surpass those of cotton and we’ve got a few tips on how to make sure your bedding investment last’s for a long time not just a good time!

  1. Avoid tumble drying your linen sheets where possible. Obviously when weather permits it’s fine but if you can minimise the amount of time your sheets spend in the dryer, the longer they’ll last you. The high heat of dryers destroys the fibres of linen (flax) making them weak and brittle, leading to breakage. We don’t say you can’t, but we just suggest avoiding it if you can.
  2. Your linen is best stored with a slight dampness to it! As linen is super absorbent it will dry out quite fast. Don’t be too concerned about mould. Linen is naturally antibacterial so it will defend itself against moisture.
  3. Avoid using fabric softeners. The best way to soften your linen sheets is to use them, use them, USE THEM! They grow softer with each wash and wear. You truly don’t need to worry about using artificial softeners.
  4. Don’t use bleach… need we say anymore?!
